iBoard Gadget

I’ve been tempted to implement a gadget. I quickly used Interface Builder to build a prototype

It doesn’t look brilliant to me. I’m still unsure whether I should go for that path. Technically, it’s not difficult it’s just a question whether there are any values.

Another alternative I could think of that the gadget could be implemented with a UIToolbar, UITableView and a label. Very similar to Apple’s iTunes.

There could be “Random”, “History”, “Rating”, “Statistics” and one more for the UIToolbar. This way, the design would be more natural and under-control.

Medria Pieces

Today, I’ve started integrating piece sets into the application. I’m very glad that http://ixian.com/chess/ hosts some brilliant piece sets for no charge. Thank you! Look at the Medria piece set:

I’m actually more interested in the Staunton set, but so far found nothing on the Internet.
